"Valborg starts out very youthful and n good contact with her owner. Has some good searches in various wind and terrain. During the day Valborg is getting uneven in her search and it is becoming much on/off. Has today much searchtime without succeeding finding bird. A lusty and unusual dog that doesn`t succeed today. Heating after the bad weather

Highlandtest "Salty mountain" Rana hunting and fishing society 23-24 August 2008:

Our two first huntingtest in the highland is over, and what a weekend! Our group consisted of only youth dogs (under 2 years) both Saturday and Sunday. The breeds was mostly English Setters, but also one Gordon Setter and a couple of Bretons were in the group. I was very excited how she could measure with this breeds, and either participants nor judges had seen this breed on highlandtests before. In her first work she does a search with big format, and continues her good work the day through. Unfortunatly she doesn`t find birds this day. One price this Saturday and that is 3. youthclass to English Setter "Bella".

Sunday she continues her good work, but you can tell that 9 hours in the mountain from Saturday is in her body. She goes out in large search with good speed and style, and flushes a "rype" some metres ahead. She sit down on command right away, and we continue the search. After some hours she gets tired and unfocused and we are finished for the day. No prices this day.

When all comes to all, I`m both surprised and very pleased by Valborgs work, and we had maximum points on co-opeation both days. The obedience was perfect, and she showed me good contact. The things that I was most afraid of before this tests, didn`t appear. Now we are ready for the next test, and hope we get a complete birdsituation then.
